SPECIAL BOARD MEETING OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

 

Minutes of the Special Board Meeting of the President and Board of Trustees for the Village of Stanford, held at the Village Hall at 2:00pm.

I.                   ROLL CALL: 2pm for Webinar

 

Present:  3 – President John Owen, Trustees Jim Bridgewater, Homer Smith.

Absent: 3- Trustee Nydra Owen, Jeremiah Pitcher and Loren Lamar

Also present: Natasha Owen

** Trustee Pitcher arrived at 4:30pm**

**Trustee Lamar arrived at 4:45pm**

**Trustee N. Owen arrived at 4:45pm**

**Clerk Phillips and Treasurer Eidenmiller arrived at 4:45pm**

**Natasha Owen left meeting at 5:00pm**

 

II.               NEW BUSINESS:

 

·         President Owen and Trustees Bridgewater and Smith participated in a webinar “Government Officials Essentials” presented by Heyl, Royster, Voelker & Allen Law Firm. This webinar was from 2pm to 5pm.

·         Regular special meeting to resume at 5:00pm.

·         Treasurer Eidenmiller discussed the information he has received from 1st Security Bank in Mackinaw. The lease interest rate will be at 5 years at 3.15%. The monthly payment for both the squad car and maintenance truck will be $1,349.13. Treasurer Eidenmiller is looking at a 2X4 maintenance truck with a utility bed offered thru Warren Company.

 

Trustee Lamar moved, seconded by Trustee Pitcher to cap spending on the new squad SUV and new Village maintenance truck at $75,000, for up to five years, and to authorize President Owen, Treasurer Eidenmiller and Clerk Phillips to sign all lease documents for the vehicles.      

 

On roll call, the vote was:

 

AYES: 5- Trustees Lamar, Bridgewater, Pitcher, Smith and N. Owen.

 

NAYS: 0

 

ABSENT: 0

 

There being 5 affirmative votes the motion carried.

 

III:      MOTION TO ADJOURN @ 5:25pm

 

There being no further business to discuss, Trustee Lamar moved, seconded by Trustee Pitcher, to adjourn.

All in favor, AYE.
